The 53rd GRAMMY Awards is a tribute presented annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences in recognition of outstanding achievements in American music industry. GRAMMYS is considered the music equivalent to the Academy / Oscar Awards for film, Emmy Awards for television and Tony Awards for stage.
This year’s nominees were announced on the Grammy Nominations Concert Live! presentation on CBS last December 1, 2010. On the lead is Eminem with a total of 10 nominations, including the Record of the Year for his “Love the Way You Lie” collaboration with Rihanna and Album of the Year for “Recovery”. Bruno Mars came in second with 7, including a Record of the Year nomination up against Eminem for “Nothin’ on You”.
